How we met
We initially met in September 2018 while Rhiannon was in the car with a few mutual friends who were picking up Nick from the airport. Over the next few months, we saw each other at FIRST robotics offseason events and became fast friends. In February 2019, we had our first date that ended in a comedy of errors, but from then on, we were inseparable. As of April 2025, we have celebrated 6 years together and are so excited for our wedding on Halloween!
Moving in together
In September of 2024, after over 5 years of long distance (Rhiannon in either Davis or Monterey, and Nick in Mountain View), we finally moved into our little 2-bedroom apartment in Sunnyvale, CA! We have enjoyed creating a home together, and finding all the random things that we have duplicates of or have silly amounts of.
Our engagement
On October 27th, we went to Spina Farms pumpkin patch (which is dinosaur themed) for a cute date. While we were there, we ate lunch, walked around the pumpkin patch, saw so many dinosaur animatronics, and navigated a corn maze. While in the corn maze, as the sun was setting, Nick declared his love and, in many words, expressed the desire to take our relationship to the next step. In a secluded part of the maze, Nick got down on one knee and asked Rhiannon to marry him (obviously, she said yes, as there would be no wedding website otherwise), and since then, we have been excitedly planning our wedding!
